Bushmob
Bushmob
BushMob programs are for young people who are at risk of being disengaged and marginalized. They may be subject to substance abuse, violence, unsafe living environments and disempowerment.
BushMob’s unique approach to working with young people and their families is through the power of respect, supporting self advocacy and the freedom to choose their future.
BushMob began in 1999 when young people from Alice Springs town camps asked for a program where they could have a say in its design, which would support them to go bush, and where they would feel safe and supported.
BushMob began as a Pilot program with one staff member, and has grown considerably since then, with eight staff, an active volunteer team, peer group mentors (StrongMob).
Over the past 10 years, BushMob has worked with thousands of young people and their families in Central Australia, and views its work as intergenerational and long-term.
We welcome your interest in our work. Please contact us for more information.

Our Vision
Journeys are made in Central Australia by, and for, young people
to get the self-respect, trust and courage and skill to have a good life
because grog, sniffing, drugs and crime are no good.
